November 2009

November was a fun month. We visited with Marie, Roger, Don, Marilyn, Thimi, her kids, Eric, Erin, Julie and Ross at Pokagon. We got to celebrate Marie's birthday too. We took a nice walk, huddled around the campfire and listened to Roger recite poetry. We talked about having a Vance family reunion there next summer before Julie's wedding.

A couple of weeks later, we went to Marie and Roger's to visit with Bill, Yvonne and Isla. Isla is getting so big! Love the Baby Cool picture! As usual, we over ate at Marie's and then Thanksgiving morning we got up and drove to Julie's where she hosted her first Thanksgiving in her new house. Ross deep fried the turkey and in typical engineer fashion had concocted a pulley system for raising and lowering the bird. See the pix if you don't believe me! Eric and Erin joined us too. Ross had it all planned. The food was excellent!
